Where it is used
PMDI reacts with rigid polyols or a ready system to form a closed-cell foam that insulates. It is also used in some adhesives and binders. For flexible and moulded foam, other MDI grades are available on request.
What to check on the TDS
- NCO content and viscosity — they set the mix ratio with the polyol side.
- Functionality and acidity, which affect reactivity and foam strength.
- The certificate of analysis of the delivered batch.
Storage and handling
MDI reacts with moisture: keep containers closed and dry and avoid repeated warming and cooling. Store, handle and protect workers as the safety data sheet of the grade says. The SDS comes with every offer.
